Hanoi (VNA) – Additional 805 COVID-19 infections were reported on July 15 morning, including four imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Among locally-transmitted cases, 603 were found in Ho Chi Minh City, the current biggest hotspot.

Meanwhile, Dong Nai reported 72 new cases, Dong Thap 36, Phu Yen 18, Khanh Hoa 18, Ba Ria-Vung Tau 17, Hanoi 11, Hung Yen 10, An Giang 8, Ninh Thuan 7, and Dak Nong 1.

As of 6am on July 15, Vietnam had seen 38,239 infections, including 36,280 domestically-transmitted cases and 1,959 imported ones. The caseload since the fourth wave of COVID-19 outbreaks hit Vietnam on April 27 amounted to 34,710.

The number of recovered patients was 9,624, while death toll was 138.

Among the active patients, 307 tested negative for the coronavirus once, 114 twice and 81 thrice. 

On July 14, additional 25,377 people received COVID-19 vaccine shots. Nearly 4.15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide so far, with 286,772 people receiving the full two doses.

Along with vaccination, the Health Ministry advised people to continue to strictly implement the “5K message” as well as other pandemic prevention and control measures./.
