Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia and the Association of Overseas Vietnamese (OVs) in Cambodia on Oct. 7-8 donated rice and foodstuff to 132 OV flood victims in the Cambodian northeastern province of Kratie.

Earlier, they also delivered gifts to flood-hit OVs affected by floods in Phnom Penh and Kandal province.

According to the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Kratie province, 200 out of 500 local OV households were seriously affected by the flooding.

The Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia said that over 12,000 OV households were also severely hit, including 7,000 in Kandal province and nearly 2,000 in Pray Veng province.

According to the Cambodian National Committee for Disaster Management, the floods have hit 213,000 families and claimed 167 lives./.
