Hiep enters long jump final at IPC Championships

Nguyen Ngoc Hiep of Vietnam entered the long jump final at the ongoing International Paralympic Committee Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

Hiep will compete with strong rivals from China, Uzbekistan and Brazil in the men's long jump T11 event on October 27 at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Earlier on October 25, Hiep achieved his personal best of 56.91sec in the men's 400m T11 heat.

Three more Vietnamese athletes are competing in the Doha championships.

Nguyen Thi Nhan will participate in the women's long jump T11 on October 29.

On October 30, Cao Ngoc Hung will take part in the men's javelin throw F56, while Nguyen Be Hau will compete in the men's javelin throw F57 event.

Last week, Hau pocketed a bronze medal, the first for Vietnam at the championships, in the men's discus throw F57.-VNA
