A monument dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh was inaugurated at a ceremony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on August 30.

Minister of Public Spaces in the city of Buenos Aires Diego Santilli said the work is a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

On April 16, during his visit to Argentina, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired over a ceremony to start work on the monument, which is a gift of the Vietnamese government to Buenos Aires city.

The central point of the monument is a bronze statue of President Ho.

The inauguration of the statute is part of activities in Argentina to mark the 67 th anniversary of Vietnam’s August Revolution and National Day.

Earlier, on August 29, the Vietnam-Argentina centre made debut in Buenos Aires with the aim to promoting mutual understanding between the two countries.-VNA
