Hoa Phat’s steel sales hit over 4 million tonnes in 10 months

Hanoi(VNA) - Leading steel manufacturer Hoa Phat Groupsold nearly 4.14 million tonnes of steel in the first ten months of 2020.

Of the total, more than 2.7 million tonnes of construction steel were supplied to the market, up 28.6percent year-on-year.

It exported 435,000tonnes of ready-to-use steel in the period, double the volume in the same period lastyear.

In October alone, Hoa Phat’s exports of ready-to-usesteel increased 4.3-fold compared to October 2019, reaching nearly 62,000tonnes.

It said its exports of ready-to-use steel and steel billets continued to grow wellin Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Cambodia, and Ghana.

In addition to construction steel, the Hoa PhatDung Quat complex produced over 340,000 tonnes of hot rolled steel coil (HRC) in the first ten months, with 112,000 tonnes produced in October alone.
