Bac Kan (VNA) –  A three-day exhibition on historicaland legal evidence affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) andTruong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes opened in the northern mountainous provinceof Bac Kan on May 26.

The exhibition showcased a large number ofdocuments, items and publications along with nearly 100 maps published indifferent periods by international and domestic researchers.

The event is among the important publicitycampaigns to raise the awareness of the nation’s sovereignty over sea andislands.

Hoang Van Binh from Bang Lung town, Cho Dondistrict, said the event helps locals understandthe importance of the sea and islands and nurtures the patriotic tradition,spirit of solidarity, and responsibility of the people, thus contributing toprotecting of the nation’s sovereignty over the sea and islands.
