Life in the ancient city of Hoi An, a famous tourist destination in the central province of Quang Nam, is reviving with the arrival of tourists after COVID-19 has been put under control.

The town used to be an international port in the past. Located in the lower reach of Thu Bon River in the coastal plain in Quang Nam province, about 30 km south of Da Nang city, Hoi An has been known in the international market by various names such as Lam Ap, Faifo, Hoai Pho and Hoi An. Moreover, on December 4, 1999, in Marrakech city of Morocco, the 23rd session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO officially included Hoi An ancient town into the list of the world's cultural heritage sites. It only officially welcomed domestic tourists from November 15, 2021, and foreign tourists from March 15 this year, when Vietnam completely reopens to international tourists.
