A hot spell will continue to heat up the country's northern and central regions in the next two days, according to the National Centre for Hydro – Meteorological Forecasting.

The temperature could reach 35 – 37 degrees Celsius and even exceed 37 degrees in some areas.

The regions have been hit by a large – scale heat wave since July 5 with average temperatures reaching 36 degrees.

Rain is forecast to ease the heat near the end of the week./.
