Hotline for foreigners set up in Da Nang

Central Da Nang City has set up a hotline number to help local expats to deal with people who cheat, missing passports and stolen property.

This follows a spate of fraud and theft in the city.

Victims can call the city police department at [phone] to report problems. The line is open around-the-clock and uses English-speaking staff.

The private numbers of local officers in foreign affairs and immigration sectors are also publicised in emergency cases. -VNA
