Houses presented to disadvantaged families in Soc Trang

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang and the provincial Lottery Company on November 16 presented 167 houses to poor and near-poor families.

Soc Trang (VNA) – TheVietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang andthe provincial Lottery Company on November 16 presented 167 houses to poor andnear-poor families.

Each family also received an aid of30 million VND (1,320 USD) and a gift set worth 500,000 VND.

At the ceremony, Duong Sa Kha, Chairmanof the provincial VFF, said that the houses were built with 5 billion VND (220,130USD) sponsored by the Soc Trang Lottery Company along with the contributions oflocal authorities and those families. 

Since 2015, the Soc Trang LotteryCompany has raised more than 15 billion VND (660,390 USD) to build 667 housesfor disadvantaged families across the locality.-VNA

Vietnam, Japan strengthen cooperation in leadership training

Stressing that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development with increasingly high demands on the quality of human resources, particularly strategic-level leaders and managers, Politburo member and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) Assoc. Vietnam Fisheries Society protests China’s unilateral fishing ban in East Sea

The society stressed that the ban is unilateral and unjustified; seriously infringes upon Vietnam’s sovereignty, rights and legitimate interests; violates international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS); and runs counter to the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC).

Child rights association puts online safety at forefront
