Asia’s leading publication on finance and banking, FinanceAsia, has named HSBC Vietnam the best foreign bank in 2010 for the fifth consecutive year.
FinanceAsia selects the winners on their financial strength and performance, the value of the franchise, acquisitions that have helped to improve the franchise, numbers of staff, client base, major deals made during the period and testimonials from clients.
Becoming the leading bank in Vietnam for the fifth year in a row confirms customers’ trust in HSBC as the best place to bank and is recognition from independent industry commentators for consistent innovative world-class services and commitment to excellence in banking, said Thomas Tobin, HSBC’s Chief Executive in Vietnam.
To date, HSBC Vietnam’s awards include Best Bank in Vietnam in 2006, 2008, Best Trade Finance Bank in Vietnam in 2008 and 2009 and Best Sub-custodian Bank in 2006 and 2009 by Asset Triple A.
