Quang Nam (VNA) – The EU-funded Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Programme (EU-ESRT) has announced a joint tourism destination brand for three central coastal localities of Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam, which is “The Essence of Vietnam”.

A joint website promoting the brand has also been set up at ww.theessenceofvietnam.com, providing necessary information on the three localities, including places to visit, things to do, food to eat and recommended itineraries.

The website also provides tourists with visa regulations for foreign visitors and addresses of information centres in the three destinations, completed with search tools for accommodations in the three localities.

The three localities signed their agreement on tourism cooperation in February 2014. Over the past years, the EU-ESRT programme have implemented various activities to assist the localities in the field, including training personnel for travel agents, raising public awareness of responsible tourism for local communities, and improving capacity of local tourism lecturers.-VNA
