The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will deliver its verdict on the heated Preah Vihear territorial dispute between Thailand and Cambodia on November 11.

Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul said the judgement will be broadcast live in Thailand.

Surapong said he will chair a committee to discuss measures to cope with ICJ’s decision and future procedures for joint management on the Thailand-Cambodia border.

Located in the bordering area of Thailand and Cambodia, the 900-year-old temple has been recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

The ICJ awarded Cambodia the temple and surrounding area in 1962 but Thailand claimed ownership of 4.6 square kilometres of scrub next to the temple in 2008.

Periodical armed clashes between the two sides have caused deaths to both sides.

Cambodia brought the case of the disputed land to the ICJ in April 2011.-VNA
