India-built IT centre to be inaugurated in Hanoi

A centre for information technology and communications training centre as a gift from the Indian Government to Vietnam is scheduled to be inaugurated in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi on Sept. 16.

At apress briefing in Hanoi on Sept. 12, Director of the HanoiInformation and Communications Department Pham Quoc Ban said that theproject was built at a cost of over 57 billion VND (2.71 million USD)with 46 billion VND (2.2 million USD) worth of equipment, software, textbooks and teachers’ training paid for by India’s non-refundable aid.

Onceoperational, the centre will train programmers, professionaltechnicians, State employees and enterprises managers for Hanoi andnearby regions with the aim to contribute to building ane-administration for the capital city by the end of 2015./.
