The Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Ranjit Rae on Dec. 3 handed over aid worth 100,000 USD to the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee to support flood-hit victims in the central region.
The contribution shows the solidarity of the Indian government with the people of Vietnam , said the ambassador.
He also expressed his sympathy over the loss of human and property, but said he believed that with a lot of efforts they will overcome the disaster’s consequences.
Deputy Chairman and General Secretary of the VFF Central Committee Vu Trong Kim praised the Indian government and their people for their donation to the flood victims, saying that this would contribute to consolidating solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
Kim said the aid will be transferred to the victims as soon as possible to help them get their lives back to normal./.
