Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Preeti Saran visited and gave 100,000 USD in funding from the Indian government to the India Research Centre at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration (HCMA) in Hanoi on March 10.
The Ambassador spoke highly of the centre’s consistent development, saying that she will mobilise Indian agencies to assist the centre’s operation.
HCMA Director Ta Ngoc Tan sincerely thanked the Indian government and people for their valuable assistance in supporting the activities of the centre.
He said that the grant will allow the centre to sow an important seed in future research collaboration between India and Vietnam.
The Indian Research Centre was inaugurated in September 2014 by Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang and Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.-VNA
