A centre for information technology and communications training centre as a gift from the Indian Government to Vietnam is scheduled to be inaugurated in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi on Sept. 16.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on Sept. 12, Director of the Hanoi Information and Communications Department Pham Quoc Ban said that the project was built at a cost of over 57 billion VND (2.71 million USD) with 46 billion VND (2.2 million USD) worth of equipment, software, text books and teachers’ training paid for by India’s non-refundable aid.

Once operational, the centre will train programmers, professional technicians, State employees and enterprises managers for Hanoi and nearby regions with the aim to contribute to building an e-administration for the capital city by the end of 2015./.
