Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Public Works Basuki Hadimuldjono has called on Turkish investors to invest in Indonesia’s infrastructure sector, under either a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) scheme or an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scheme.
Hadimuldjono made the appeal in a press release last weekend.

Previously, Hadimurjono had held a bilateral meeting with Turkey’s Trade Minister Mehmet Mu to prepare for a meeting between Indonesian President Joko Widodo and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan slated for early February 2022.

Hadimurjono said he hopes that the meeting would provide a foothold for better infrastructure cooperation and strengthen bilateral relations.

He then continued to attend a bilateral conference with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoglu during which he assured that Indonesian infrastructure development still opens the door to foreign construction companies, especially Turkey.

During the meeting, they also discussed an increase in the frequency of direct flights between Indonesia and Turkey from 6 to 10 times a week to support economic activity, especially the trade, investment and movement of goods and services from both countries./.
