Jakarta (VNA) – Leaders of Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Cambodia’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) had a meeting in Jakarta on March 8 to discuss measures to enhance regional and international cooperation in addressing cross-border corruption cases.

KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said that the ACU delegation’s visit is a motivation for setting up the two countries’ cooperation in this field.

He stressed the need for ASEAN countries to support each other in preventing transnational corruption and promote international cooperation in this work through strengthening the anti-corruption agenda at international forums.

ACU Vice President Yonn Sinat stated that discussions at the meeting aimed to promote bilateral cooperation in exchanging information and experience in corruption prevention and prosecution.

During their stay on March 8-9, the ACU delegation attended education activities on the culture of integrity and corruption prevention and control, and shared experience in asset declaration management, confiscated goods and assets management, and took part in a meeting of the ASEAN Parties Against Corruption (ASEAN-PAC)./.
