Chief of the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) General Sutarman has ordered police and other security agencies nationwide to work together to secure the safety of the elections.
A legislative election will take place in April, with presidential polls following from July to October.
POLRI has readied itself to protect vulnerable localities, such as the provinces of North Maluku and Papua, where security has been infringed over the recent past.-VNA
