Indonesia to upgrade air defense radar system

Jakarta (VNA) - The Indonesian Air Force plans to
strengthen the air defence system via replacing old radars with new ones.
The Air Force's Chief of Staff Fadjar Prasetyo said the
country is considering a plan for the replacement in phases, giving priority to
essential areas.
The plan targets the Thomson TRS 2215 R radar system, which
has been operating since 1982./.
