Indonesia and the UK are committed to increasing their two-way trade turnover to 7 billion USD by 2015.

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa said on September 19 that the goal was set during the recent visit to Indonesia of the Duke of York Prince Andrew.

Rajasa said the two-way trade between Indonesia and the UK saw a strong increase during the past three years, from 500 million GBP in 2011 to 3.06 billion GBP (4.9 billion USD) in 2013.

The two countries also adopted a joint vision on trade and investment to 2030 with priorities to be given to infrastructure, food security, energy and manufacturing.

Additionally, the UK government will also support Indonesia in developing a green economy, he added.-VNA
