Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and her Malaysian counterpart Anifah Aman have discussed steps to intensify cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Indonesian foreign ministry, the meeting in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, on January 26 was to strengthen the two governments’ commitment to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as boundary issues, fight against illegal drug, migrant workers.

Malaysia is one of Indonesia's biggest trade partners with an uptrend in two-way trade over the past five years.

Malaysia is also the fifth-biggest foreign investor in Indonesia.-VNA
