Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo has called on State agencies to fight corruption in public services by improving service quality, including stepping up digitalisation.

In his speech on December 29, Widodo asked civil servants to renew their working methods and step up the settlement of citizens’ complaints and denunciations.

He affirmed that the top public services require commitments and collective efforts by agencies, as well as long-term discipline, governance reform, and culture in workplaces.

On the occasion, he required the legislature’s inspectors to oversee public services and assist State agencies in public service reform./.
