Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian President Joko Widodo on December 8 arrived in Ache province to inspect relief efforts after an earthquake of 6.5-magnitude occurred a day ago.
 
Upon his arrival, President Widodo visited victims of the quake in Zainal Abidin hospital.

The Government has deployed personnel and resources for relief efforts, including thousands of soldiers, police, rescue workers, health workers and volunteers.

The Ministry of Social Affairs has decided to provide money for families with death and seriously injured people.

Relevant agencies paid attention to clean water and electricity to ensure basic living conditions for local people.

According to the latest statistics, the death toll from the earthquake climbed to more than 100.-VNA
