Several interactive kiosks to promote Thai identities and the integration of ASEAN countries will be installed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok.

The kiosks will provide details on tourist attractions in Thailand and ASEAN member countries. A total of eight kiosks are to be installed in the airport.

Suvarnabhumi Airport General Manager Rawewan Netrakavesana reiterated that the kiosks’ multi-vision displaying system will provide a simple yet engaging way for the airport visitors to absorb ASEAN's basic information and tidbits.

One of the highlights at the kiosks is the virtual touring of actual attractions. Visitors can also take a snapshot of themselves while they are interacting with the system as well.

According to Rawewan, the kiosks are parts of Suvarnabhumi's renovation which includes revamped toilets as well as additional space to facilitate tourists to be unveiled in the near future.

By the end of this year, the airport is expected to welcome more than 50 million visitors. It has also set a target of becoming one of the world's top four airports in the category providing services to more than 50 million passengers per annum within next year.-VNA/NNT
