International billiards tournament opens in Binh Duong

(Source: VNA)Binh Duong (VNA) – Cueist Pham Quoc Nam of Mekong Delta Can Tho city caused a surprise on the opening day of the International 3-Cushion Billiards Tournament that kicked off in the new Binh Duong city in the southern province of Binh Duong on August 19.
Nam beat world No.9 Cho Jae Ho of the Republic of Korea (RoK) 40-34 in the final 32 players heat to advance to the last 16.
The fifth annual tournament attracted the participation of 58 local players and six players from the RoK, Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia.
The tournament will conclude on August 21.-VNA
