The third Documentary Film Festival kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on June 6.
The eight-day event is being jointly held by Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, and Italy and the Vietnam National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio as part of activities launched by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC).
During the festival, seven special films from European countries will be screened, including Dance with Pietragalla: On the tip of toes of France, Stolen Art of Belgium, Cleveland against Wall Street of Switzerland, Yellow Autumn of Germany, Rain Stories of Italy, Chopin Effect of Poland and Mumbai Disconnected of Denmark.
Vietnamese films sent to the festival include Dieu mua co (Ancient dance), Ken dong (Bronze trumpet), Loi ru thi buon (Blue lullaby), Khoang cach (Distance), Hay noi (Speak), Chuyen cua moi nha (Affairs of every household), and Dat lanh (Freezing land).
The event will move to Hanoi on June 8./.
