A Vietnamese man won the gold medal and the Viet Nam Photographic Artists Association won a bronze in the country category in an international photo competition.
This was the first time that Vietnamese photographers had won for a colour photo collection.
The 23rd International Federation for Photographic Arts Colour Print Biennial honoured the association's collection, Thong Diep Tuoi Tho, (Children's Message).
Pham Duc won the gold for his photo Cuu (Help), while Vu Thi Tinh received the bronze medal for Nu Cuoi Moi (New Smile).
This year, Italy and Germany received the gold and silver medals in the country category.
