The 10th International Medicine and Pharmaceutical Exhibition opened in Ho Chi Minh City on August 18 with 220 companies from 20 countries and territories all over the world taking part.

Co-organised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the event will introduce healthcare and laboratory equipment, medicines, production equipment and hospital medical equipment.

Seminars on the Vietnamese pharmacy sector, regulations on production and trade and fact-finding trips to medical manufacturers and hospitals will also be held.

Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Head of the Drug Administration Department under the MOH, said that the exhibition will spotlight the latest achievements in Vietnam’s medical sector and across the world. It is also an excellent opportunity for experts and healthcare businesses to expand international cooperation and increase access to high technologies as well as public health services.

The event will last until August 21./.
