The Vietnam National Agriculture Fair (VIAF) got underway in the southern Can Tho City on November 8, with 450 stalls showcasing domestic and foreign products.
The week-long event, titled “Cooperating for Agricultural Development, Promoting Exports and Building a New Rural Area Model”, aims to boost agricultural production while developing the rural areas in the Mekong Delta region and the country at large.
It also offers a chance for local agriculture enterprises to attract investment, expand business as well as integrate into the global economy.
On display are machinery, farming tools, production lines, processed products, fertilisers, animal feed, agro-forestry products, seafood, seeds, and traditional handicrafts.
A series of seminars, consultations and training courses will also be held during the event.-VNA
