More than 200 domestic and foreign manufacturing companies are showcasing their latest products at an international exhibition in Hanoi , which opened on May 18.
As the largest industrial exhibition since Vietnam’s accession to the World Trade Organisation, ‘Manufacturing Hanoi 2010’ will focus on three main areas, machine tools and automation, packaging and food processing, wood processing and decorating.
The businesses come from 12 countries and territories around the world including Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and China.
While addressing the opening ceremony, Tiger Lin, the Managing Director of Chan Chao International, a company that specialises in organising international exhibitions and seminars, underlined Vietnam’s rapid development after the global economic crisis, noting that more and more overseas business want to start operating in Vietnam.
Nguyen Thanh Bien, Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, stressed that the event will provide a golden opportunity for businesses to expand their markets, learn about new technologies, increase their productivity and competitiveness and reduce the price of their products./.
