The event is being co-organised by the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Real Estate Association and the Asian Construction Industry Forum, announced the Steering Committee for Housing and Real Estate Market Policies at a press briefing on November 9.

With the theme, “Housing and real estate market development – World’s experiences and Vietnam ’s choice”, the seminar will focus on sustainable development as seen from angle of the Asian real estate market.

The event is expected to draw the participation of a number of international experts from Australia , China , Hong Kong , Japan , Malaysia , New Zealand , Singapore and the Republic of Korea , according to the organising board.

The participants will discuss a wide range of issues regarding the real estate market, such as the global financial crisis and experiences in using capital from different sources for real estate investments; urban planning and setting up land funds; forecasting work for the real estate market and urban development; and state measures to control housing prices.

Within the framework of the seminar there will be an international real estate expo opening on November 26 with over 100 stands, aiming to attract investment and promote the achievements of Vietnam ’s real estate market.

Nguyen Tran Nam , Deputy Minister of Construction said the seminar is of significance as it would help both managers and businesses effectively design logical directions for Vietnam ’s real estate market, which remains spontaneous and unstable.

Nam also expressed his hope that the seminar would help Vietnam deal with major problems regarding real estate’s role in the market economy, including legal frameworks, the transparency of real estate transactions, the control of housing prices as well as infrastructure and real estate development./.
