over 140 domestic and foreign businesses.
The three-day event that opened on September 17 is co-organised by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade and the CIS Vietnam Advertisement and Exhibition Company.
Exhibited industries include high technology, garment and textiles, footwear, electricity, electronics, plastics, rubber, engineering, and automotive manufacturing and assembling.
Vice Chairman of HCM City People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang, said the event is geared towards connecting businesses, expanding markets, thus reducing dependence on imported products.
As part of the exhibition, there are a seminar on solutions to promote supporting industries in Vietnam and a forum on realising opportunities for production cooperation - driving force for supporting industry development.-VNA
