Binh Dinh (VNA) – The sixth international festival of Vietnamese traditional martial arts kicked off in Quy Nhon city, the central province of Binh Dinh, on August 2.

This year’s event attracts 52 martial arts delegations with some 1,000 members from around the world.

Among them, 16 delegations featuring 130 instructors and practitioners come from France, Italy, Russia, Portugal, Algeria, Morocco, the US, and Canada, among others.

The festival, initiated in 2006, has become a rendezvous for lovers of Vietnam’s traditional martial arts, said Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung at the opening ceremony.

The sixth event continues to be an opportunity for domestic and foreign martial arts clubs to share experience in promoting Vietnam’s traditional martial arts which have been thriving in Binh Dinh province, he added.
