Int’l Yachting Festival to take place in December

The organising board of the International Yachting Festival has decided to delay the event until December 8-11, instead of October 21-24, in Mui Ne bay in the central province of Binh Thuan , said an official on August 5.

Le Thi Thanh Lien, deputy director ofthe Binh Thuan Culture, Sports and Tourism Department, said the reasonfor the delay is that the organisers need more time to complete theirpreparations for the international event, to ensure its success.

With the theme “Sea, Sun and Sail”, the festival will be the biggestcultural, sporting and tourist event in Binh Thuan province in 2010, andhas attracted 20 yachts and 20 beach beauty queens from Russia ,Australia , the Netherlands , Sweden , the US , France , German andItaly .

The festival is an attempt to turn Mui Ne bay into the most popular yachting centre in the central region./.
