- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the title of Hero of People’s Armed Forces to the Ministry of Public Security’s Investigation Security Agency during a ceremony in Hanoi on December 11.

The agency is tasked with investigating serious economic, corruption, and smuggling cases of public concern, confiscating trillions of VND for the State budget.

The PM, who is also Chairman of the Central Council for Emulation and Commendation, congratulated officials and officers of the agency on receiving the distinction from the Party and State.

He lauded it for cracking down on national security violations and other crimes, contributing to protecting national security, and maintaining social safety and order and national development over the last seven decades.

The leader asked it to work closely with units inside and outside of the public security sector, especially central and local legal agencies, contributing to improving the efficiency of investigation activities.

The PM called for carrying out breakthrough measures to build a contingent of strong security forces in terms of politics, ideology, and personnel.

It was urged to promptly grasp the Party and State’s stance in each circumstance and on each subject, to ensure that investigations are in line with law.

Each official and officer at the agency must continuously follow President Ho Chi Minh’s six teachings, have strong political mettle and professional virtue, and creatively apply Party and State laws and policies in their work, he said./.
