Legendary defender, and winner of the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year in 2006, Fabio Cannavaro, arrived on November 10 in Ho Chi Minh City to take part in the Tiger Street Football 2013's International Grand Final as this year's Tournament Ambassador.

Thirty-two Vietnamese players pitted their skills against each other under Cannavaro's supervision to choose four teams for the International Grand Final in Ho Chi Minh City.

The six Tiger Street Football Champions from Brazil, Mongolia, China, Australia, Cambodia, Singapore and Malaysia took part in the tournament's International Grand Final along with four Vietnamese.

The winner was Dat Vinh Tien with prize money of 30,000 USD, Brazil Sloripa second with 10,000 USD and China South Canton ranked third with 5,000 USD.

Tiger Street Football takes all the speed and excitement of football and packs it into two extremely short six-minute halves, played on an oval pitch in a cage.

The game is played on a smaller field as well. Less space means more is happening: more kicking, passing, shooting and freestyle tricks. And less time means more urgency to try and score before the time runs out.-VNA
