State budget revenue in January was estimated at 71.7 trillion VND (3.36 million USD), according to the Ministry of Finance.

The sum accounts for 9.2 percent of the whole year’s estimate.

Of the amount, 53.3 trillion VND came from domestic taxes reported Ha Noi Moi newspaper, citing data from the ministry.

High budget collection was seen in the State-owned economic sector with a 12.9 percent rise and the private industry and trade sector also lifting 9.3 percent.

The increase was attributed to bustling activities in production and trade in the last months of 2013 and the first month of 2014.

The ministry also revealed state budget spending in January was estimated at 8.1 percent of the forecast to ensure socio-economic development, national defence, security and State management.-VNA
