Japan aids Vietnam’s education, health

Japan will offer 853,200 USD in non-refundable aid to 8 education-health projects in Vietnam.
The Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City on December 17 signed a contract to provide non-refundable aid worth 853,200 USD for eight education and health projects in Vietnam.

Under the contract, the sum will be used for the construction of four primary schools in Binh Thuan, Lam Dong and Tra Vinh provinces, and the provision of medical equipment to three hospitals in Hau Giang, Dong Thap and Binh Phuoc provinces.

A project to build a water supply system in Vinh Binh commune, Vinh Hung district, Long An province will also benefit from the aid.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Hida Harumitsu said he hopes that the aid recipients will follow the contract’s provisions and take measures to well manage and preserve the facilities and equipment so that they can prove their long-term efficiency.-VNA
