The Japanese government has decided to extend its aid grant to Cambodia up to a total amount of 3,305,000,000 JPY (approximately 33.05 million USD) to support three development projects.

The exchange of notes on the extension of the grant was held on July 30 between Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hor Namhong and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Shinohara Katsuhiro, the Cambodian news agency (AKP) reported.

According to a press release from the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia, of the total, over two billion yen will be used for the upgrading National Road No. 1, nearly one billion will go to the construction of a Marine Aquaculture Development Centre, and the rest to a rural drinking water supply project in Memot district, Kampong Cham province./.
