The Japanese government will donate 96,850 USD to buy medical equipment for a healthcare centre in Khanh Son district in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

Japanese Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Ikuo Mizuki and the centre’s director Dang Van Thuong signed a contract regarding the donation on Nov. 4.

The project is part of Japan’s official development assistance (ODA) capital earmarked for improving the living conditions for residents in disadvantaged and isolate areas by developing education, health care, rural infrastructure and environmental protection.

A day earlier, the Japanese Consulate General and the Union of Friendship Organisations of the Mekong Delta Kien Giang province inked a contract to fund construction of five bridges in the locality.

The project, worth almost 87,000 USD, will benefit the districts of Hon Dat, Tan Hiep, Chau Thanh, Vinh Thuan and An Minh./.
