Japan, India agree to boost security cooperation

In a joint press statement released following their talks in Tokyo on Nov. 9, the two ministers said Japan and India ''shared international concerns on piracy off the Coast of Somalia and in the Gulf of Aden'' and that they are “committed to continue and strengthen cooperation and information sharing in this area.''
Antony is on a three-day visit to Japan from Nov. 8. It is the first visit to Japan by an Indian defence minister since May 2006./.
