Japan launches large scale search for disaster victims

Some 25,000 Japanese soldiers will join a large scale campaign to search along Japan ’s Pacific coast for the missing of the March 11 devastating earthquake and tsunami, said Japan Self-Defence Forces on April 25.

US forces will also join thecampaign, the third of its kind in Japan , to look for 12,000 peoplestill unaccounted for almost one month and a half after the doubledisaster.

They will carry out the search in areasaround large estuaries and tsunami-hit places, including areas within a30-kilometre radius from the Fukushima nuclear power plant No 1.

Earlier, the past two campaign found 438 bodies, unveiled the Japanese Ministry of Defence.

The earthquake and tsunami last month in Japan killed 14,000 people and left 12,000 people missing./

Thailand’s business activity shows signs of gradual recovery

As of August 31, Thailand had more than 1 million active legal entities with total registered capital of 24.13 trillion THB.
