Businesspeople from Japan’s Sakai city hope to establish ties and expand their investment in the northern provinces of Vietnam, including Ha Nam.

This was said by President of the Sakai International Business Council Kiyoshi Shirooka at a working session with the provincial People’s Committee on October 8.

He underlined the 10 commitments to foreign investors by Ha Nam on the supply of electricity, human resources, security, simple administrative procedures, and leisure and medical centres tailored for Japanese tastes.

Earlier, the delegation visited the Dong Van industrial zone, home to around 40 Japanese businesses.

Ha Nam saw an increasing number of Japanese investors after Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s visit to Vietnam last July, said Chairman of the People’s Committee Mai Tien Dung, adding that six Japanese businesses are expected to invest in the province in the coming time.

The province prioritises small- and medium- sized enterprises from Japan , especially those in the support industry, he added.-VNA
