Japan’s Ambassador to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada hosted a reception on December 10 to salute the 80th birth anniversary of the Emperor, which is also his country’s National Day (December 23).
Addressing the event, Ambassador Hiroshi Fukada showed his delight with great strides in the two countries’ relations, emphasing the organisation of various events to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties in 2013.
The solid development of Vietnam-Japan relations was built up on the foundation of friendship and mutual trust, the diplomat said, underscoring the need to continue fostering the ties in the future.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Government, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that Vietnam and Japan have increasingly become each other’s important strategic partner, evidenced by robust developments recorded in all fields and reinforced political trust.
He said he believes that the two countries’ strategic partnership will continue growing in a broad and sustainable manner for the sake of the peoples and peace, stability, prosperity, cooperation and development in the region and the world.-VNA
