Japanese experts shared their experience in the implementation of the Constitution in their country during a workshop held in Hanoi on February 14.

The event, jointly hosted by the Vietnam National Assembly (NA) Office and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), offered a good opportunity for Vietnamese agencies to learn more about the crucial work.

Addressing the workshop, Vice Chairman of the NA Office Nguyen Sy Dung introduced some of the new additions to the Vietnamese Constitution, which was adopted at the sixth session of the 13 th National Assembly in November last year.

According to him, these new regulations will make it easier for Vietnam to build a rule of law State, reinforce sovereignty and ensure and promote human rights.

Such amendments have created a firm foundation for a new period of comprehensive development in Vietnam, Sy added.

The legislator further said that the NA Standing Committee has issued a resolution instructing on the enforcement of the Constitution.

Accordingly, he said the document must be enforced in a swift, comprehensive, consistent and economical manner, creating momentum for the country’s renewal process towards a fairer, more equitable and civilised society.-VNA
