Twelve Japanese television series with a total of 137 episodes will be aired on Vietnam Television (VTV) from October 5 onwards.

This is the collaboration between VTV and Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, according to VTV.

The series, which received high ratings in Japan, cover a wide range of genres, including dramatic, detective, and fictitious films.

One series called Black Kite won Best Drama Series at the Asian Television Awards in 2013. Based on the best-seller by award-wining writer Kiyoshi Shigematsu, the story follows a widowed father for 30 years as he clumsily but honestly raises his son.

The series will run on VTV1 channel at 1pm from October 5 to January 3 and VTV6 from January 5 to April 20.

Japan’s national public broadcasting organisation, Tokyo Broadcasting System, Fuji Television Network, TV Asahi and Nippon TV produced the series.-VNA
