Japan ’s Aeon Group on Mar. 27 inaugurated the Quang Loi Primary School 2 in Quang Dien district of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue .

The work is part of a cooperative project to build 30 schools and boost afforestation between Thua Thien Hue province and Aeon Group.

The 3 billion VND two storey school consists of eight class rooms and two teachers’ rooms, capable of providing as many as 250 local pupils with comfortable schooling conditions, particularly in the flood season.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Tanizaki Yasuaki said with aids from the Japanese Government, private companies, including Aeon Group, are joining in helping Vietnam .

The project has been launched by Aeon Group since 2010 with a total non-refundable aid of 3 million USD. Since then, 10 primary schools have been constructed and the other 20 schools are scheduled to be completed between 2012 and 2013.
