Japanese firms seek southern VN opportunities

A delegation from the Kansai Economic Federation of Japan led by Akihiko Takashima, Chairman of the Federation’s International Relations Commission paid a working visit to the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on Nov. 24.

The visit aimed to seek cooperative and business opportunities in the province, which is chosen by the Vietnamese government to be developed in to a centre of supporting industry.

The province’s leaders introduced the guests to the province’s potential and strengths as well as investment opportunities, saying that the province is willing to create favourable conditions for investment from Japanese enterprises, especially in support industries and logistics services.

On the same day, the Japanese delegation visited a number of deepwater ports in the Cai Mep – Thi Vai area and Vinakyoei Steel Factory./.
